Dukes Take BK // 2024 March Madness
“I’m picking the Dukes in that game” - Rece Davis (and seemingly everyone else)
The men’s basketball Dukes took the world by storm in March of 2024, earning the programs first bid to the NCAA tournament in more than a decade. I had the opportunity to follow the team from their Sun Belt Conference Championship to Brooklyn for the first round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Below is a selection of the content that I produced while on the road with the Dukes.
“You gotta pick your 12 over 5, get uncomfortable. I think James Madison’s your best shot here.”
As the world began to fill out their march madness brackets, one popular 12 over 5 was Dukes over Wisconsin. I leaned into that trend for the hype video that ran the night before the first game in Brooklyn.
Don’t call it an upset.
A cinematic retelling from the evening that the ‘24 Men’s Basketball Dukes cemented their names in JMU Athletics history defeating the No. 5 Badgers, 72-61, downing the highest-seeded team ever defeated in program history.
